Envy is the most common -and more harmful- between 7 Capital Sins. Is a monster inside every one of us  that is necessary domesticate, but always will accompany us.

I describe envy as the morbid need to want to be another. Who envies you want to be YOU, at any price, and while believing that it may be possible, it sticks to you stating that you admire and love you, and seeps into your life to the degree to imitate the way and let the person who really is to live through you. Some relationships are derived from this unhealthy need to live through another, and can last a lifetime. But sometimes the object of obsession of the other realizes what is happening, he chooses to break the false friendship and then comes up in hate been carefully disguised admiration.

This raises the need to kill the object of envy because unconsciously the envious assumes can take the place of another, so, in FULL METAL ALCHEMIST, for example, the homonculi "Envy"has the ability to become the person he want to be. While this "murder "is usually a metaphor, Julius Caesar, for example,  was murdered by his very loved adoptive son,  Brutus, inmortlized by Shakespeare. Brutus, as like all jealous that does not recognize it is alleged patriotic motives to conspire against those who blindly trusted him that Brutus could never be.

Going through an experience, that is, become in obssesion of someone who has deceived for years claiming to be your friend and, suddenly, starts doing the same things as you, to steal you ideas, friends, phrases...imitates your dress... is really scary! ... not to mention the pain of discovering that  your friend who professed so much love you, always hated you in the background for the simple reason that could never be yourself. I think that is the worst experience I suffered in my entire life. Check, please, the excellent thriller SINGLE WITHE FEMALE  (1992) directed by Barbet Shroder, starring by Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Sometimes real life is worst than fiction... and  many of us has our own Hedra/Ellen (Jason Leigh character) .

But one of ART's property disrupting the horror in reflection, light and beauty .... even something as horrible as the monster of envy out of control. We are all envious by nature, but few of us understand that feeling acts against ourselves and need to tame if not want to fail in this life-and let me select some photos that I refer to that feeling of harassment and dispossession victims who are suffering from a friend who was actually an undercover enemy; a vampire sucking your positive energy subtly.
